We talk to Joe Rooney of Insurrection LRP

Hi Joe, I wonder if you can start by telling us how long you have been involved in LRP?
Joe: I started LRPing in October 1992, so almost 16 years, pretty much solidly.

What kind of events attract you as a player?
I tend to prefer smaller events, say up to 100 players max, to much larger fest events.  There needs to be a real risk of character death, and there needs to be clear consequences to my actions – if my character screws something up, I want to have to really work to escape one form of doom or another.  Aside from that, I’m more into fantasy than other genres, and I’m a sucker for orcs.
